About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To create lasting memories, perform random acts of kindness, leave the world a better place, and make a positive difference in the lives of those around me. I prefer the road less traveled and those brave enough to travel it with me.

ABOUT ME

I am a single mother of four beautiful & healthy children. I teach literature & language arts to 8th grade students. I have coached and managed various soccer (futbol) teams and I love to travel every chance I get! My friends say I am respectful, easy to get along with, hold good conversations, and I always have a positive outlook on things.

PHILOSOPHY

Respect and accept people for who they are. Be open to try new things, new adventures, and make the most out of every opportunity...laugh a lot along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting for longer than I have been a member. Some of my closest friends I met through opening my home to "strangers" when they came to the U.S.A. as coaches for MLS camps from Europe. The only difference between now and then is...I've made my membership official.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed while in Paris and have housed many! I am always open to meeting new people and making new friends along my journeys.

Interests

I love soccer (futbol) and often travel to watch my favorite teams. I'm a very active parent and support my kids in their activities. My weekends are usually full as I have been blessed with friends of every age from various corners of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sherlock Holmes, Snatch, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (old version), Troy, Something about Mary,Goonies, Crash, Buddy the Elf, Schindler's List, Bridesmaids, and most things Disney.

I typically read 2-3 books a month and love to read poolside or on the beach!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to choose from and list only one...

Teach, Learn, Share

I have friends from many different age groups and backgrounds. I learn what I can from each and every one of them. I enjoy listening to their thoughts and stories. I respect their trials, tribulations, and celebrate their triumphs with them. I myself have learned a few lessons the hard way. If the opportunity to share my story should arise- I'd be happy to do so.
