Talking about myself is not exactly the part, in which I excel.
I try to be a good person most of the time.
I love my job. I love my free time more.
I am sociable but I am not talkative.
I love books. I love music. I hate bigotry.
Please have a look at the references, that might give you a better impression. (You will read about Leni. I traveled through America with her five years ago and we shared this profile for the trip.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoyed the privilege of getting to know many friendly people in Canada and the US who
hosted me or showed me nice places during my journey of 2012.
Since then, I've tried to make space for hosting, but I can't do it with my full heart outside of vacation time, as I put too much of my time into my job. But I will try to make more space in the next months, so keep the requests coming! :)
Hence, of hosting experiences I have only a few. However, I used couchsurfing whilst my North American adventure with Leni five years ago, and we were hosted by numerous people, who made this trip one to be remembered during our whole lives. When we traveled through Canada and the United States for 3 months, we were invited by the loveliest people you can imagine.
I feel bad now that I see, that on the hosting side I haven't lived up to what had been given to me during this trip and I am determined to use the summer holidays to catch up on that. But before that, I hope that the couchsurfing god will have mercy on me and point me to some nice people in Canada who are willing to have me as a guest.

Teach, Learn, Share
I wrote my Bachelor thesis on the rise of the punk scene in NYC. I wrote my Master thesis on the early years of The Velvet Underground. So I am kind of a nerd for NYC subcultures in the 1960s/70s.
I prefer a vegan diet due to ethical reasons, so I am open for recipes. (On the other hand I am not very confident about the variety of my own cuisine, as I don't often eat at home. Nevertheless, I will be glad to cook for you.)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I won't cause you any work. I can do the dishes.
I would love to talk philosophy, religion, politics, but I'd also love to chat and laugh.
