About Me

I am an open minded person. I am willing to explore the world and see what it has to offer.
There is a word that describes my feeling at the moment perfectly ‘Fernweh’ a German word for a longing to explore the world which literally means awaysickness and is the opposite of homesickness.

I don’t drink or smoke - mainly for health reasons and because I’ve seen what alcohol can do to people. That being said, I don’t judge if others do, it’s just my personal choice. Most of the time, I’m the driver when going out with friends at night, so you can always count on me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve learned that the best way to discover a place is through the eyes of locals. In April this year, a stranger approached me on the street asking what my city had to offer. He only had one day during a layover in Germany and no clue what to do. We ended up spending the day together, which turned into an unforgettable experience and even a strong friendship.
That’s exactly the kind of moments I hope to experience again – simply having a great time together, sharing stories, and hopefully making sure my host/guest has even more fun than I do.
When it comes to accommodation, I’m not complicated. A blanket on the floor is already fine (though I won’t say no to something a bit more comfortable). For me, it’s more about the people than the place – and it also helps me keep my budget under control.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling by train from Germany to Istanbul.

Crossing the Atlantic Ocean twice in a paddle boat. -Nah just kidding.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning spanish at the moment. I can speak English and could teach some german. If you would like I could even teach you some boxing as I am already training for a few years.
(A big part of learning to box for me personally was learning to handle nervousity and being aware of what you can and cannot do. I would never try to intimidate anybody (I think I look too friendly for that anyway) or threaten to punch anyone. And would only use it to protect myself or friends in an extreme situation.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am quite good at cooking, I’ve done an internship at a restaurant and am currently working in an restaurant.
I’m far from the skilllevel of the chefs I am working with.
In my profile are some pictures of the food we serve in the restaurant and of what I cook at home.
