About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live in consciousness, awareness, choice and possibility. Without judgment and conclusion.

ABOUT ME

I have made two Round The World Trips. On my first trip (2006-2007) I spent a year flying from Europe to Asia to the Pacific to South America and back. The second I was together with my ex-girlfriend and we did some seriously slow travel: we travelled over land and water from The Netherland to the south of China, when weather and mood pushed us in a plane to Thailand and later Australia. We charged ourselves financially and spiritually and did the last leg of our trip in Indonesia, Nepal and India. To get the fullest travel experience. And not just have a postive impact on ourselves, but also on Mother Earth and the people and cultures that host us.

On one of my pictures you can see the puma Tupac and me. This captures what travelling for me is about: adventure, exploring, fun, meeting new people (and animals!), sharing and learning. I´m trying to explore it all and enjoy life to the fullest. I believe you have to if you have the opportunity to do so.

As we all know, life at large is all but perfect (and of course, it's perfect in its inperfection; it's all contrast to lead us to expand and grow) and that´s an other part of life on planet earth that grabs my attention. This concerns the unfathomable beauty of our planet and the simultaneous destruction of it. Is there another way? I think so. Do you?

PHILOSOPHY

Explore, dream, discover!

I live my life to discover and utilize my personal niche to live a happy life and share my knowledge, skills and happiness with others. My experiences in nature do not let go... I feel I have to utilize my strengths and opportunities to give back to nature and therefore to humanity. More and more signs, events and choices have lead me to the common ground of sustainability and business, then to sustainable food and now to sustainable living. I try to reconnect myself and other people with nature and each other. We are all part of a bigger whole, let's realize this and act upon it. During this trip I'd like to learn more about what it is that makes me come alive most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My highest values are Health, Peace, Love, Joy and Freedom. I strongly believe there is an invisible force in our Universe (call it what you like) that connects everyone and everything and by tapping into this force, everything becomes possible. This I call the Art of Manifestation and it is endlessly intriguing to me.

I love how food connects people with people and people with nature. Sharing good food is one of my great pleasures of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The unbearable richness of Couchsurfing still amazes me! It enriches my path in life and enables me to meet people out of my routine. Also, I can share my laughs, knowledge and spirit.

Interests

My favorite things: travelling, food, people, manifestation, surfing (waves, kites and couches), sportclimbing, ninjutsu, taiko drumming, snowboarding, diving and snorkelling, hiking, yoga.

Day-to-day things I like: running, swimming, riding my bike through Amsterdam, chilling in the park, exploring the nightlife, listening music, reading books, writing, photography, watching movies, preparing and eating organic food and drinks, sleeping. All in the company of current and new friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sharing food and drinks over conversation is one of the best things in life! During this, I would like to laugh with you and smile. I can share with you some of my experience in how to make our world sustainable, but moreover, I would like to have a dialogue about it... I would like to learn what your vision is about the position of humans on this planet (I love spirituality and philosophy). I would like to share my apartment, friends, and way of life. And I would like to learn more about yours.
