ABOUT ME

Hey all! My name is Michael Sandor Earl Coleman (Facebook it!) but my mates call me Mickey. Im a 25 year old PADI Scuba Diving Instructor from Australia. Ive worked on most the of the east coast from Port Douglas right down to almost Sydney. Im very easy going and love to have a joke. Im always keen to try new things and experience different cultures. I was born in Oz and my mother is Filipino. My last job was working on a live aboard sailboat "Summertime" out of Airlie Beach and cruising the Whitsundays.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm no Aristotle, but I feel you need to try make as many people happy in your own life. If I can help out fellow humans, hopefully they will do the same in return. And it gives yourself that warm feeling inside.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Im new to this and my friend suggested it to me after he let me stay on his couch for a few days. (Im on the couch right now! :D) So I thought I'd give it a try since Im going to the USA for 10 weeks in Nov.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I wish I knew about CS sooner , I would of gladly had my couch available! But I am about to travel myself in 2 weeks, but when I get back to Oz, your welcome to surf! :D
Currently surfing a couch in Airlie Beach. Keen to find some good ones in the States :D

Interests

I love scuba diving and anything to do with the water! Ive been diving for about 8 years now and want to see as much of the underwater world as I possibly can.
I also love my sports and play rugby league in Oz and also social basketball.
I play the guitar and try to sing, which keeps me occupied in my travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far Ive been to many island countries which are known for their scuba diving.
Fiji was awesome! Diving without a cage with Bull and Tiger sharks!
The Solomon Islands were very unique and secluded and offered some amazing cave dives!
Vanuatu was full of ship wrecks and I love how friendly the locals are!
Im planning a road trip to the States for 10 weeks in Nov and will be the first time in the Northern Hemisphere! :D
