i was travelling for many years, but now due to my work in the hospital, my vacations are very short :(....
so if i can't travel as much as before..."the world can come to my home" :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host more than i surf cos' i don't travel as much as before :(
and i do go to some meetings...

I like when CS'ers are coming to me for at least 3 days so i have the chance to get to know each other which is the idea of CS.. if we get well you can stay another day ...
prefer hosting CS'ers who host too, have full profile and some references.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started with the Hospitality club in April 2008, although i heard about CS before it, on the news :) ..
i love to have guests at my home, i always had guests i've met everywhere, (including here) or in my travelling and i stayed at travelers' i've met on the way....

Since i joined i had many guests and a very few hosts :),
with most of my guests/hosts we became friends right away, this feeling u know all your life..

It's a great way meeting the local, see how other people live, their homes, family, customs, etc..not only seeing the view of a country u visit...
I've made some very good friends through CS...

兴趣

music...music... travelling, walking, Pilates, reading, photography, languages, architecture, antiques, hand work and art, folk dancing and music, old towns, meeting new people and enjoying life...

I read a lot....... Too many books to write their names ..

Movies, i like good ones from different countries like Iran, France, Spain, Italy and the films of Emir Kusturica, Woody Allen etc.. + good documentaries and British drama.

music.. i couldn't live without it!!! i have a giant collection of about 3,000 CD's, mostly Cuban, but also Colombia, Venezuela, PR, RD, all what calls "salsa dura", Afro Cuban Jazz, Tropical, Rumba, Descarga, Afro Peru, and so on..

I love also world music like Africa, Gypsy, Rebetica, Fado, Reggae (Bob Marley), Blues, Soul... etc..etc...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

hitched hike through Europe, New Zealand and Japan on my own.. something i would never do today!

Travelling for so many years.. seeing the Machu Picho in Peru, Tical in Guatemala, crossing the Amazon by local boat from Colombia to Brazil, sleeping in a "tree house" in Belize, walking with sun glasses at 11PM in Iceland, flying with an hot air balloon over Cappadocia - Turkey and now (October 2016) flew with Helicopter to the Gran Canyon, Arizona - AMAZING!!!!...
