ABOUT ME

Fascinated by the world. Athletic. Open-minded. Respectful.

My wife and I love movies, good books, beautiful places, and adventure. We run a mentoring program, which matches at-risk (failing or friendless) kids with volunteer adults. We spend the school year recruiting, screening, training, and supporting more than fifty volunteers that work one-on-one with more than fifty students each week.

Because we work in the schools of Grand County, UT, and they are closed during the summer, my wife and I usually travel in June/July. We get to escape the desert heat of Moab. In 2008, visited family in New England. In 2009 we road tripped through the Pacific Northwest and SW British Columbia -- rock climbing, visiting family on the Olympic Peninsula, mountain biking, and fishing along the way. In 2010: Iceland, France, and Italy. 2011, back to the NW and BC.
