as soon as I agree to host I will give out my coordinates as soon as I have ALL of the following information in one shot:
arrival time :
if by plane time and flight number
if by bu s: what bus terminal and the departure point/city
if by car sharing: the drop off place (there might be several in Montreal and if the one most convenient for
you is the last one there is a big difference
hosting does involve work and expenses, but I refuse to work at dragging information that is of vital for
planning my time out of guests. If that happens I am likely to retract my invitation. I have an extremely low
patience level (also I have no receptionist dedicated to extracting that information and being paid for her
open my home to interesting travellers but never for one night only.
I was actually born in 1941. Offhand no surfer contacs me due to my age.
No nonsense person, interested in people of all ages and all walks of life. Generous with my time or otherwise up to the point when guests think they can take everything for granted.
Always eager to learn about the new electronic world and the many interesting websites

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host constantly when I am in town and only surfed once in Vienna
My choice is to offer a highly appreciated private room in one of the most coveted neighbourhoods to a GREAT NUMBER of surfers instead of hosting once a month . However that means that I cannot also invest my time and money in feeding the many guests.
Most surfers express their appreciation in one way or another (recently received a 6 pack of toilet paper - highly appreciated) but then there are those who make you feel as if you should be grateful for their having honoured you with their presence. (cs's of one nationality in particular - I do not even attempt to hos them any longer)

Old age wisdom can help a few of the young ones
