Overview
About Me
Hola!! (english for below)
Soy Miela, fotógrafa nómada Auzzie, aventurera, guía aspirante y alpinista.
He vivido, trabajado y viajado por América Latina hace 2 años ahora.
IG: @mielamalyon.photo
Cosas especiales que he hecho recientemente:
(jeje)
Hiyaa!
I'm Miela, an Auzzie nomad photographer, adventurer, guide and mountaineer and have been living, working and travelling in Latin America for the past 2 years.
IG: @mielamalyon.photo
Very open to skillshares, always happy to chat but am respectful of hosts' space/time. Happy to lend a hand and help in any way possible (also down to do a deep clean or take some professional images of your house/room or you!).
I really appreciate:
- feeling small in incredible natural environments (climbing, trekking, mountaineering)
- spontaneous connections, side-quests, general silliness, creating art, cooking!
- being able to share knowledge, educate and learn.
- a warm shower and the sense of falling into place after a big adventure.
Special things I've done recently:
A first aid course in Espanol in San Pedro de Atacama (happy to share first aid knowledge informally), after having to rescue a Brazilian on the side of Lascar Volcano.
I've sporadically been living out of a 4x4 throughout the past year, most recently through Bolivia and Northern Argentina (it's why I don't have a lot of references on here - but I can promise I have cleanliness standards!)
I've boat-hitched from Panama to Colombia (Through the incredible San Blas islands)
Hitchhiked in Baja California with a band of Malabaristas.
Got a motorcycle Licence in Medellin, Colombia.
Spent 2 weeks at a event site in the panamanian Jungle documenting a festival.
A few dream missions:
-Complete a psychology degree within the next decade.
-Te Araoa: Hike New Zealand top to Bottom.
-Drive the dempster highway
-Cross from Europe to my island home taking as little planes as possibe.
Will try (almost) everything at least once!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know places from LOCAL perspectives and make lasting connections.
To simply expand my own worldview and hopefully give back/pay forward.
