I’m Mifu, a 19-year-old living in the suburbs of Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. Koriyama is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Tokyo by Shinkansen. In spring, you can see Japan’s third most famous cherry blossoms, and in autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves. It’s the perfect place for those who want to experience Japan’s four seasons!

Right now, I’m studying English to get into a university in Europe, where I want to learn about bias and preconceptions.

I usually travel abroad alone. I love experiencing different values, customs, and traditions from around the world!

The first time I used Couchsurfing with a friend and did a homestay in Vietnam, it was an amazing experience!

We talked about culture, food, love, music, and so much more, sharing stories and ideas. I felt like I had the best time of my life. That’s why I’m here—to connect with more people, make friends, and learn about the world.

Of course, I also have the goal of studying English and becoming fluent!
