Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Convince my supervisor that my research will be better fulfilled in China and India... where I happen to want to travel in!
ABOUT ME
Young Spaniard/Western European... Some of the stereotypes will apply, others won't; better have a (few) chat(s) to find out! I love a good conversation!
In any case, I fancy myself in the process of expanding my horizons farther from everything I was born into. I felt the urge to escape, first from my home country, then from all countries. Borders suck!
PHILOSOPHY
Try to find a purpose for every single moment of your life, wherever you are, whatever you're doing, it must mean something to you... Otherwise, move on or do something else! Also, don't let a particular situation you're "trapped in" bring you down; you never know what you could gain from it. Missing one goal could mean finding a better one!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was couchsurfing in NZ in Dec 2007 and after that have hosted people with my friend and housemate Cam at our humble abode here in Melbourne. I have also attended a few gatherings with CS people here; but unfortunately I don't have much time for it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Awesome times couch-surfing in New Zealand and hosting in Melbourne.
Interests
Geez, that's a tough one... I'm interested in knowledge... Now, that sounds geek; but what I mean is, I want to 'know the world'. I want to get to know a good restaurant, a trendy bar, a nice person, and, yes of course, a subject at uni. Really understanding things and people makes me happy. To know restaurants, bars or people you have to go out, so I like going out ;-D To know the other stuff you have to read, and I love reading... and learning languages that allow me to talk to new people and read more things!! :-D

Music, Movies, and Books
Just everything I can lay hands on and comes well-recommended by friends or acquaintances. Last things I've seen, listened to or read:
'Waltz with Bashir' by Ari Folman
'The World According to Garp' by John Irving
Beirut (American), Cut Copy, The Cat Empire (Australian), Ohrbooten (German), Renaud (French),
I tremendously enjoy Science Fiction and Isaac Asimov's Foundation series made me stay indoors for a couple of weeks just relishing in the easy narrative and the stories of far away worlds and universes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Buff, this being a pretty popular site with rather daring people from around the world, I bet this particular field must be full of really awesome stuff... I have a great memory of my trip all around NZ; 22 days driving, hiking, camping, driving again, partying, couchsurfing, driving on... All throughout the most amazing landscapes ever!
Teach, Learn, Share
This is a tough question... It all depends on what the 'pupil/teacher/sharer' knows or has already.
I can't promise to teach anything, but we'll certainly have a nice chat trying!
