About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Me and my best friend Agnė are moving to Porto! Let us in, let us in, we'll paint your walls! We'll be here until the end of spring, if we May..;)
We're looking for someone to host us for a week or two, until we find a room. We have many suggestions but we need to go see them by ourselves first, as the internet can be fishy sometimes

ABOUT MIGLIUS
I'm someone who grew up in Lithuania (it's near Poland and Latvia), most of all - I love traveling and writing poetry about the things that I experience, people, I like to turn what I see into songs. Always been interested in music mostly but also movies, painting, really self-expression in general. I love a challenge, overcoming obstacles is what moves me, keeps me going, I practice meditation since my teen's, love all sorts of games, serious businesses, hiking, trips, nature.

ABOUT AGNĖ
Most of my life I had a passion for exploring new languages, writing and music, and I usually mesh those things together. Sound and context always makes my heart go pitter-patter, so show me some music from your homeland or teach me a funky word!! Love experimenting with words, visuals, sounds, collecting rocks, pins, postcards, bird feathers, creating something out of nothing. I have a tendency to question everything, explore new ideas, find new ways of expression, always curious and empathetic. I think we are all connected, everything around us is a part of us and nothing is better than sharing perspectives, exchanging energies and exploring different point of views! I absorb information like a sponge, so please tell me stuff, I will always hear you out! Me and Miglius share a deep connection with each other, I do believe we both make magic everywhere we go and we want to share that with others as well. We both love a challenge, therefore we decided to test our connection by going on a hammock trip a few months ago. Then we've been to Brussels. Now we’ll try to go around the world! step by step

Our current mission for the winter is to explore Portugal until the end of spring. Us being lovers of music, one of the motivators for our travels is exploring the country’s alternative musician communities. GOING ANALOG!!! (nothing against digital)

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been playing guitar and singing for about a decade now, so I don't really have a favorite artist, more of a listening streak, I love classical, jazz, indie, electronic, really don't have a specific genre, I can vibe to anything. The more detailed it is, the more I'll enjoy it.
My favorite directors are Harmony Korine, Sion Sono, Wong Kar-Wai, Wes Anderson, although there are a lot more to list here, my letterboxd account is "kogan"
My fave book authors are Eckhart Tolle, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Sylvia Plath. I love reading psalms and mythology, tales too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

on the summer of ‘22 I did something I've never done before - I've been living in the nature with my hamoock and sleeping bag for the whole month in Nida, Lithuania. It’s a small coast that feels like an island, I've been going around on foot with my guitar, meeting interesting people that would sing me traditional old-lithuanian multipart songs, that have been living free in Costa Rica, Tenerife. They would teach me about the art of being, breathing, seeing/feeling. Most of the evenings would end up near the campfire or the sea with new company I've just met recently, I can still recognize that feeling of having no stable ground to this day.
The next summer I did the Camino del Norte from Irun to Fisterre and started to follow my feet more.
This year me and Agnė took our first trip together! Mallorca. we’ve been sleeping in the same hammock for a week, explored as much as we could and got rid of our fears there, realized everything is possible! Then we've been to Brussels! Crazy artist dancer vibes, secret muay thai lessons, many many funky people
I've been to Budapest myself for two weeks recently.. read Satantango there in a very cozy cafe place every evening. I rode the bike a lot, took hikes up to the mountains from all angles, been to the autumn beaches.. I'm like a bird..

Really depends on the person and their interests, there's a lot you can learn from everyone. I am open for anything, really. I am fluent in art, meditation, I like living on the edge of comfort, I can tell you a lot about the culture here in Lithuania, cook you a traditional Lithuanian dish, we could make a song together. I like listening as much as I like to speak.
