Overview
About Me
Hey!
I am Miguel, born in Göttingen (Germany) and usually either lost in Libraries or Cafés, while occasionally trying to escape to some high mountains and calm valleys! Where I ended up so far, I have eventually managed meeting loads of wonderful people with interesting and moving stories to tell.
Besides getting lost in conversations and journeys, I study the History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge and write articles on stuff like the logic and history of science, or the history of Modern India.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Getting around is so much more rewarding when you have the right people with the right tips.
More importantly, the best aspects of any place are the stories the people have to tell of it!
Couchsurfing offers a way to not only meet such guides and storytellers but also allows me to give back something to them by being supportive on my own.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mainly listen to British, German and US-American hip-hop, while I genuinely enjoy classical piano, violin and orchestra, some Indie too. I prefer Electronic music for dancing, tho!
Here is an incomplete arbitrary list of three films I like: Lord of the Rings, Into the Wild, Captain Fantastic
...and an even more incomplete list of books that I connect to very much:
Ludwig Wittgenstein, Philosophical Investigations
Arundhati Roy, The God of Small Things
Paul Feyerabend, Against Method
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am really grateful to have been able to hitchhike through the Indian Himalaya!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you can afford global travelling, you might also consider making an effort to travel with the least amount of co2 emissions possible and compensate for long distance flights:
