Exploring Bavaria by Bike!

I recently moved to Bayern for work and want to continue my cycling adventures in the region.
Two yearsa ago I completed a 3200km bike ride, from Paris to Lisbon that allowed me to discover the warmth of the couchsurfing community!

ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Miguel, Portuguese, 25 years old. Currently living and working in München, still trying to figure out what to do with my life :)

I cycled from Paris to Lisbon alone.
Before that I lived in Haifa, for a two month internship. I have traveled a lot around this beautiful country during the weekends and I love it!

I lived one year in Delft, as a part of my master thesis. This was the first time I lived on my own and it was an amazing experience that allowed me to know a lot of people from completely different backgrounds and help me to see the world in a whole new way.

I am very friendly and easy going, I love sports (different ones like sailing or fencing), and I have a huge passion for travelling. As a matter of facts my biggest crazy dream is going solo around the world, starting in Tierras del Fuego, Chile. This starting location being influenced by the great Chilean writer Luís Sepúlveda. I sailed for a long time and I give sailing lessons back home. I also love reading and listening to music. Going out for a beer with friends is always a solid option as well!

Books... I love reading and among my favourites: Robinson Crusoe, The Count of Monte Cristo, Animal Farm, Last News From the South, Love in the time of cholera...
Music: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Dave Bruebeck are amoung my favourites

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This year I completed a 3200km bike ride, from Paris to Lisbon that allowed me to discover the warmth of the couchsurfing community!

Went to Petra, drove a Jordanian taxi and navigated the public Jordanian bus system!

ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cascais 2007- I was really young and had the oportunity to help in the organization and even saw some regattas from the race commitee.

I have fenced in 4 different countries and hope this number keeps going up!
