ABOUT ME

below you'll find my college essay. why am i using it as an about me section? because its convenient. i'll update this eventually... probably.

I was the toddler who jumped from rooftops, the child who had too many questions and the teenager with overdue/stolen library books.

Someone once told me "you think so far out of the box that sometimes I think you're in a whole new box" it was one of the most endearing things ever said to me. I'm no Matisse at anything. I've never had the opportunity to travel and see the world. By no means do I have everything figured out, but even with that said I like to think my horizons are pretty broad. Growing up I always felt out of place. I felt like I was late for a meeting somewhere far away. I've been called many things since then, dreamer, a poet, a weirdo, a nerd, and in some circles a vagabond philosopher. it all depends on who you ask. I am inspired by people, or rather the stories behind them. Starting conversations with strangers has been a habit that I've had since i was little. My mom would tell me not to but I told her that's the only way you make friends. she gave up after that.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still figuring this one out in a lot of ways. I'm a christian and I love Jesus but I would never push that on anyone else and though i do believe that there is only one truth i also feel that faith isn't faith without doubt and there is always the possibility that no matter how strongly i believe about anything, i could always be wrong.

to sum it up I believe in Jesus and I believe in love. when you've got that down you really can't go wrong.

mostly i just lurk the site and look up profiles of couchsurfers in places i'd like to visit someday. still figuring things out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just a very last minute road trip from NYC to Detroit. It was a great trip and i made some good friends on the way. Beautiful adventure.
