My name is Miguel, I am 26 years old and I am from Faro (Algarve) where I took my degree in economics. At the age of 21 I made the decision to take a master's degree in Lisbon in Business Economics and Competition, which I completed in December 2017. During the two years I was taking my Master's degree, I tried my best to reconcile my studies with travel whenever possible. That's when I discovered Couchsurfing, and I fell in love with the concept. Although I didn't use it often, I had excellent experiences with all the people I met. I believe this represents one of the best ways to share culture and experiences with people from all over the world.

I am currently working as a data analyst in the health sector in Lisbon. This was an area (Big Data) that I fell in love with recently. In this sense, I am currently also taking a postgraduate degree in Data Science and Business Analytics. I would love to tell you more about this world of Big Data !!

First, I think traveling is a unique way of learning about different cultures and people. It's even better when you have locals to share good tips and talk about the best things the city and country can offer.

Second, hosting is having this experience without leaving your house. Also, I am always available to hear a good story / experience. :)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

After spending a month volunteering in Edinburgh (which was amazing), the day before I was supposed to return to Portugal, I just bought a bus ticket to Glasgow and only came home 10 days later than originally planned.
