for many years there was an extensive text about what i call my biography. i deleted that. i try to live a simple life. do what has to be done. do my duty when it calls. do nothing when there's nothing to do. I usually travel on my own and meet new and old friends on the way.

I been a couch surfer and host for ten years now. i appreciate the idea of sharing space with fellow travellers. it is my conviction we should open our doors & hearts to all we encounter. let's overcome social fears and trust one another.

meditation practice indoors or in nature. cooking delicious vegan meals. hiking in the woods around Vienna. going for a walk on Danube island. taking the bicycle for a ride. exchange views and practise tolerance. deep listening. when you post your couch request please be sure to write 'hakimo matata' as your greeting at the end so I know you took the time to read the profile and are prepared for what you're getting into instead of just looking for the next best free bed (and meal, in some cases). I'd be so happy if you bring some fresh flowers or incense or icecream or wine or strawberries or dark chocolate. if you don't bring anything I am obliged to demand a free hug from you upon entering the premises ;-)
