ABOUT ME

Always ready to do fun stuff and get involved in things that I find both challenging and interesting. I am creative and very social but of course have my bad days as well (normally near deadlines). I have been around and about; studied and worked in Iceland, the United States and Quebec travelled in the Arctic, Latin America, Europe, the Nordic countries and Russia.

Whenever I have the chance by surfing and hosting as well as spreading the work through my old part-time job as a reporter.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some wonderful, beautiful, generous and kind people while surfing and they have opened their countries, cities and cultures to me in a way that no guide book and hostel would ever had been able to.

兴趣

The Northern ares of the globe are close to my heart and my spiritual home will always be somewhere in the Northern back forests of the Nordic. I am an intensive reader and my taste in books varies; the unbearable lightness of being, the life of Pi, Supernaive, Politics and From A to B and Back, Philosophy of Andy Warhole are a few of my favourites. My path is also surrounded by music wherever I go: Sigur Ros, Muse, Ani Difranco, Ska, PMMP, Carole King are a few of the hundreds of artist on my iPod. And the usual movies, tv-series, yoga, self development...

I have had the opportunity to see so much that it isn't easy to single out any specifcs. I think hearing the stories of my 86-year-old German ex-sea-captain relative and his life reach the top ten. Sunrise after a pitch dark night-drive in Vatnajokull iceberg in Iceland in November was breatakingly beautiful. The Karnak tempel in Luxor and the Cairo egyptological museum were also dreams come through for a history freak like such as me. Also a day-drive to the Finnish Northern Sodankyla film festival with two good friends, even better music and humor makes me want to scream out and thank the higher powers for my amazing friends and the beauty of the Finnish Lapland.
