We live, work, sing, laugh, bike ... in Bremen. We are married, we have 3 adult children who also are couchsurfers. We like to show you around, sharing our city and the nice places here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We found out about CS in January 2008 (when Peter lived in the USA, spending a semester teaching at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington), so I signed in. I met so many great people had exciting surfing experience.
In our home in Bremen / Germany we love to welcome guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE - starting 2008 ...
Within the first weeks of CS, I already had my first - and great - surfing experience meeting two wonderful hosts, learned and enjoyed a lot. Traveled in the US, surfing = meeting great hosts had several other kind contacts and invitations, it's just great!
In the USA I've been hosted in Greensboro NC, in Plymouth NH, New York and in Ashville (2 nights), met friends in Wilmington. We hosted many great people in Bremen - and are looking forward to new guests.
Wow - so many friends over the years, what a wonderful community!
Since then we met many many great people from all around the world.

Intereses

Lots of things: first of all being with our family, riding bicycle, singing (in choirs), cooking, playing music (Jutta plays the piano, organ and more; Peter tries Saxophone :-) and Bridge, geo-caching, dancing, a nice glass of wine, our jobs = teaching, researching and supporting cultural institutions.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I (Peter) am Economist - because I wanted (and still want) to know how societies work, how people work together and how to improve the welfare of all.
I try to make people find the same questions as I have - and perhaps also some answers, but questions are at least as important.
What I'd never thought about myself before: Today I teach Statistics. What I try to show is that (besides it doesn't bite:) this subject is nothing to fear but provides useful tools to understand what goes on in the real world ...
