On my previous account, I had hundreds of CS friends and dozens of positive references but unfortunately it was deactivated. I don't travel much anymore and can't be bothered rewriting a long profile or adding friends.

Unpopular opinion here but I personally think CS nowadays is little more than just an awesome way for losers with no friends to meet other losers with no friends... so they can be friendless losers together!! I've met thousands of Couchlosers and 99% of those encounters were a waste of time. Instead, I would encourage people to spend/invest time with their family, partners, community and real friends instead of wasting endless hours talking to someone from the other side of the planet that they'll never see again. Or hey, what about spending your time contributing to society instead?

And what about those idiots that do nothing but brag about how many shitty countries they've been to? Travelling is great for people with no life. Lucius Annaeus Seneca said it well: "When a person spends all his time in foreign travel, he ends by having many acquaintances, but no friends". 

I've had a CS account for over 15 years and am well known in the CS community in Bali where I've lived for 10 years. I'm not very active anymore but often on Tuesday afternoons, I help organise the weekly CS sunset hangout at Padma Beach in Kuta/Legian. This is a really great opportunity for solo travellers to meetup and make plans to explore Bali together (or just party because hey, it's Bali).

If you're not a Couchloser or Couch Potato, we have a free run/walk club every Saturday morning and Thursday afternoon. Everyone is welcome to join (ig: @shuffleandstrides). Not a CS event but myself and many other CS'ers regularly join.

Not interested in dating any Couchlosers and it's unfortunate that I have to clarify that I'm definitely not gay. Sorry, not sorry.
