Just restarting my travels after a long hiatus for school.
My upcoming trip is to Australia where I've acquired a working holiday visa and an open-ended ticket.

Last big trip I went on was to New Zealand in 2009. Since then I've gone on short trips to parts of Canada and the United States but since I've graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, I have been able to save up for another trip which I'm both anxious and excited for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first heard about Couchsurfing when I travelled to New Zealand for 6 weeks in 2009. At the time, I was only 18 and stuck mostly to hostels. I was still quite shy and didn't meet as many travellers as I intended. Near the tail end of the trip, I met a guy at a hostel who told me about Couchsurfing. It seemed like an awesome way to meet and share new experiences other travellers, whether they are in the midst of travel or taking a break from their travels. Whether I can meet other surfers for a drink, or a place to sleep, I'm exciting to see how this site will be.

Big fan of the Song of Ice and Fire series which I'm currently rereading. Avid follow of the Game of Thrones show as well as many other shows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some people may find it amazing that I managed to get locked in a bar after last call when I fell asleep on the toilet. Liquor I tell ya.
