ABOUT ME

As I left Ashland Oregon, one week ago to discover NYC, an old friend wrote on my Facebook wall; "Your smile, quirkiness, intrigue, light heartedness and genuine peculiarity will be missed."

Yes, I am quite peculiar and tons of life experiences has only exasperated the condition. I used to be an elite soldier and then had to explore the essence of life. For a while I ate vegetarian food while training my soldiers in the art of destruction. Then, the passion to find myself and understand life took over completely and I left Sweden with a US green card. I was 23 and landed in Santa Fe, NM. I meditated like a crazy person and then softened into balance and simple appreciation for things as they are. Meanwhile, I studied international relations and worked for the UN and the EU in nation building missions. Later on, I got an MBA and now I am very passionate about helping business owners run happy and effective companies. It is something along these lines I want to do in NYC. My girlfriend Kate is an absolute treat to my soul and she lives in Toronto. We are mystified by each other; she a pacifist and I a warrior - but perhaps she is the true warrior and I the pacifist...?

Like: aware and open minded people who not just dare appreciate life in new ways, but seek it out, because in doing so, they are letting themselves be changed. This is one of the most beautiful things I know; transformation. It isn't even change itself that is particularly awesome, but the underlying qualities in a person that are needed for change to happen; humility, love of life, and guts.

I have seen volcanoes explode in Indonesia and tasted the ashes in my mouth. I have seen the white trails from a phosphorous grenade in the air, and witnessed the smile across a student's face when her meditation reaches a level of unbound love. I have sailed in waters that made me wish I could be a fish. I have reconciled my judgement about the politician I found so questionable and replaced it with a sober respect. I have worked my body with a fencing foil, with a puck, in telemark skis and in army boots, across mountains and deserts. I am becoming more alive for every day and the more I relax. It is fun~
