About Me

I am originally from Texas, a dentist by trade but a traveller by heart. I began my love affair with traveling while studying abroad in Barcelona. I had the privilege of exploring most of Western Europe, parts of Eastern Europe and some of Northern Africa. Since then I've been working to travel. I have made my way to parts of Central and South America. There is so much more I want to see and experience. Nothing makes traveling better than to meet unique people and have great conversations. I am very open minded and play well with others. I'm looking forward to meeting some genuine people during my future stays.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel this would be the best way to have a true experience of a new place. I also think people willing to open their homes to strangers for the sake of promoting travel is an amazing concept and would be an easy platform to meet some interesting folks.

Interests

I enjoy yoga, reading, tennis, pinteresting (yes I consider it a verb), sand volleyball, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, hammocking, novice surfer and hiker, people watching, have I mentioned how much I love traveling?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a bit of everything. Top 40s, hip hop, electronica, 90s alternative rock, really anything from 90s to early 2000s. Same goes for my movie selection, really just depends on my mood.

The Rapture of Canaan, Love in time of cholera, most movies based on books. I like going to the movies so I always try to read the books beforehand despite my constant disappointment with the on screen portrayal. It's a love hate thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first surfing experience was in a tiny Moroccan town named Taghazout. It's where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean so it's an ideal break for advanced surfers. It beat my ass but I was told I missed Kelly Slater by a day which automatically gave me amateur surfer status.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Spain, Vatican City State, Virgin Islands, U.S.
