ABOUT ME

I'm 27, queer, and very happily in love. I love where I live but am always excited to see new places. I play women's rugby and have for about 7 years now. I love being a part of this great sport's growing presence in the US. Favorite mode of transportation: my own two feet; some of the best days of my life have been spent wandering around cities with only a few ideas of where I may be or want to end up! I love to cook almost as much as I love to eat. I'm a beer drinker, but I have recently been learning to love wine (and am finding it quite easy).

PHILOSOPHY

No lying, no hitting. Two rules that would save the world a lot of trouble if we could only all follow them.

I'm only partly kidding--I do not lie or hit (expect on the rugby pitch, when necessary :) ) but my personal philosophy is perhaps a little more complicated than that.

Mostly I believe in the importance of kindness and love but also in the importance of challenging oneself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just joined CS but am very excited about being a part of what seems to be an amazing worldwide community! I have a very comfy couch available, am willing and happy to show people around my current hometown of Spokane, and am in the midst of planning a 3 week trip to France, Germany, and Italy for my cousin's wedding this spring.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand new as an official CouchSurfer, but I am frequently hosting fellow rugby players when they come into town for games and tournaments! I love hosting folks and playing tour guide (I've got a pretty good knowledge of local happy hours for starters :) ).

Interests

Rugby, gardening, running, hiking, eating, drinking, trying new things, learning new corny jokes, art, poetry, learning things that challenge my worldview.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love them! Lots and lots of music! And movies! and books!!

I got a passion for music from my father, although neither of us are musicians we have a great time being fans together and go to concerts together as often as we can. I love a wide variety of music.

I like to write and read poetry mostly, and then probably non-fiction, and short stories.
