About Me

Maybe hosting status means for now that until mid- August we have no chance to host in Helsinki due to travels or friends visiting us.

Couch is available in following steps:

July: mostly away until mid July, we possibly can host people at summer cottage during 2 last weeks, it´s located in JÄMSÄ (about 240kms from Helsinki, 80 kms from Tampere or Jyväskylä ) next to ISOJÄRVI national park (cottage is at lake Isojärvi with boat connection to national park). we can also pick people who travel by bus or train (stop distance 5-25 kms, buses come closer). We likely visit Jyväskylä meeting 25.7. so we might meet there.

End of July mid August we a get visit from friends, so it´s not possible to host
Latter part of August, possible to host

We hope you reply soon, if we offer couch, last summer there were simply too many people who we expected to come and we never heard of finally. Then couch can maybe offered to someone else.

I´m working in managerial accounting task, educated but not for titles, instead for understanding. I wanna rock! www.myspace.com/mikaramikara
Even if I´m metal fan, I am not into "black phenomenas" or too wasted life styles.
Our sms number you´ll get by e-mailing first, all requests have to be made by e-mails in advance available.

Not mine but found it and I like it: "We used to be same age, now I´m much younger". Whatever it means individually...

In the past the strangest hospitality profile summary I´ve seen was ; No Germans, no dogs.

We like nice ones of both:).

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

rock, rock, rock ...
www.stadissa.fi (i post some events of Helsinki from here (or similar sites) to Helsinki forums (
Check Events sections, I´ve opened there some free entry events or other local important dates, they are more like info and I might not be able to join everything. There are e.g. some free festivals over summer in Helsinki.

member with same user name at hospitalityclub-> check my profile there, been member for 10 years
CS experiencies only offering a couch or joining meetings/camps
the least-wanted experiencies seem to be one-night stays, with late arrival/early departure, that´s when hostels are ideal, one just wasting own sleeping time waiting late and waking too early up

if you take an early flight , take night bus to airport (more expensive between 2-4.30 am) and stay there in rest room, Helsinki has no good early public transport connections , e.g. for 6.30 am flight you have to leave us around 4am and walk to bus stop for 15-20 mins

listening to rock/metal/folk music, bicycling, traveling, boating, festivals, German language
must add walking, as I walk a lot instead of using public transport in daily life

Music, Movies & Books

rock/metal music in general
too lazy to read, only to brush up my language skills
all the best things were already long time ago made in all these areas of culture:), so I´m not following scenes actively...and I mostly hate comebacks..

One Amazing Thing I've Done

going through difficult periods in my life, creating own "career" by working hard and with desire
making a solid relationship with my girl friend

Teach, Learn, Share

get cheaper trains (if you are resident of European country except Finland) connections in Finland, especially some days within 1 month for person under 26 are much cheaper than local fares

Helsinki summary for you
