I'm an American who is desperate to see the world.
The more you see, the more you learn. I knew I would embark on an adventure from an early age. Little did I know where it would take me!
I'm currently teaching English in Prague. It's a dream come true. I wake up everyday happy to have this opportunity.
Traveling has changed me from a shy, introverted, naive person.. into a friendly, outgoing individual. I really enjoy meeting new people and making international friendships!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to share stories and learn about the world. Hopefully I can teach someone about my culture as I learn about theirs. I've found music to be a helpful way to bridge the language barrier; even though that's never an issue... alcohol works fine as well :)

Interests

Avid reader as well as musician. I don't play in a band anymore, but I did in high school. My instruments of choice are guitar and drums. I was the main songwriter in a death metal band I formed with my friends. This was before I decided to go to university and join the "real real". Now I teach English and love every minute of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the Czech Rep., Easter is spent singing carols to your neighbors in exchange for shots and food. I participated in this holiday and enjoyed it a lot despite my lack of fluency with the Czech language!
We went door to door and recited a carol in Czech to each house. I'll never forget this experience (and will give you the details in person).
