My name is Mike, I'm 18 years old and I'm all about trying new things and meeting new people.
I am obsessed with music (I like pretty much anything you throw at me) and philosophy (my favs are Seneca and Michel de Montaigne). Currenly, I study journalism and film in a small town in an even smaller country called Slovakia, where I also own a small recording studio. As a part of my senior year exams I have to shoot a documentary so I was thinking I could document my summer trip. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to be in it ;-). If you want, that is.

This summer I've finnaly saved up enough money to be able to travel a bit. In the past I've visited Spain, Lithuania, Greece, Turkey, Poland and the Czech Republic but rarely alone. I've bought a one way ticket to Barcelona in July and my plan is to spend two month hitchhiking around Spain and eventually finding my back home. The reasons I'm doing this is because I want to become even more independent than I am and I really want to see as much of the world as I can while I'm young.

Some of my hobbies include fishing, camping, partying all night and looking for my place in the world. I'm really easy to get along with and I don't take up too much living space.

Since I'm a student theres only a limited budget for activities like this as alot of you may know. Travelling for two months and paying for hostels during all of that time would seriously hurt my university savings. Also learning about other cultures and traditions seems thrilling to me so why not couchsurf?

I got one of my legs elongated by 3 centimeters. The awesome thing about it was the I was the only the third person to go through this procedure in my country so I was more or less of a lab rat.
