About Me

6 years as a part-time firefighter and I'm back in school to become a Radiology Technologist. Currently working at Marin General where I've been inspired to pursue a career in the medical field. I'm passionate about fitness, cooking and eating healthy, and living a pretty clean lifestyle. I'm kind of a foodie about it - I love making the food look good before I smash it down (see my photos!). On the other hand, I do love the occasional beer night with buddies, though truth be told, Moscow Mules are my drink of choice, and I make a pretty good one! Have me over and I'll bring the ingredients if you're up for the best one you've had!

I don't have a sense of humor. Kidding.

I'm super easy going, but love to meet new people and learn about their interests, passions, adventures, and their back story. But I also realize that some folks don't want to talk much. If you've had a busy day or week, I'm quite content to quietly explore Instagram, and hit the sack with minimal chit-chat.

I'm very clean and tidy - my goal is to leave your place looking better than how I found it.

I am new to Couchsurfing, but a buddy of mine who's mostly hosted recommended I check it out. Looking forward to trying something new!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live in East Contra Costa but work and go to school in Marin. The commute is INSANE!! That's why my buddy suggested I try this out. I guess in the big picture, I'm starting pretty local, but hope to do some further travels down the road.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to most genres of music. I'm still learning to read, but I know my numbers up to 15. LOL, I'm joking. I know them up to 17.

Same with movies... most anything is good by me. Books these days are mostly college textbooks. Otherwise, I have a thing for mythology and mysteries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently ran a half marathon that I only started training for with less than a month to the race, after not running for two years. I have another scheduled really soon. I realize this is only half as amazing as running a full marathon, but that's my goal for next year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got recipes to go around if you're into clean, healthy eating. Otherwise, you learn a lot of knots in the fire service. Happy to show you some if you're interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Every week I cook up a fresh batch of homemade protein bars, and I'd be more than happy to bring some along. They're vegan, fresh and not like any typical protein bar you've had.

But like I said, I can also bring a few beers or my masterly made Moscow Mules! Or all of the above!
