About Me

I am a student at the University of Michigan in the US going into my senior year. I'm majoring in Industrial and Operations Engineering and minoring in Sales. Also I play rugby for the university as a lock.

I love getting to know different people and different cultures. I thing there is more to learn in a conversation and personal experience than any documentary or book can provide. I am looking to meet people and experience different cultures firsthand and am currently backpacking through europe. I havent had the ability to host yet but look forward to hosting when I get back home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my most rewarding experiences traveling was spending spring break in Costa Rica to play rugby against UCR. The team hosted us and getting to know them over a few beers and understanding what they're culture was about is what inspired me to try couch surfing. I look forward to meeting people and getting to know them and hope to host as soon as I return home from Europe

Interests

Cooking and eating are two things I love doing. I enjoy trying different cuisine and learning recipes and new cooking tecniques from people I meet, especially from different cultures.

Traveling is obviously another favorite of mine. I have travelled to a few countries and across much of the united states. My favorite way of traveling is a roadtrip. Driving on the open road with a friend is a great way to relax and a fantastic time to have meaningful conversations.

Although I am reletively new to the sport, rugby is quickly becoming one of my main passions. I play at school and love to watch the sport. Beside being exiting and rewarding to play, the culture has a significant appeal to me. There is tremendous camraderie not just amongst teammates but between all players of the sport. I have been hosted by teams and have had the pleasure of hosting other teams, both of which are great experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I enjoy EDM and mainstream party music but also enjoy rock, alternative, and even some oldies when the mood is right

Movies- Action movies and Rom Coms are where it's at. Gladiator is my favorite movie and I'm sold on most movies with war or significant action like Troy, Transformers, Thor, etc. I'm also a sucker for romantic comedies and if Gladiator is my favorite then Definitely, Maybe is a close second.

Books- Haven't been able to read for pleasure in a long time but one of the last books I read that I enjoyed alot was Killer Angels

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

White water rafted and ziplined through the rainforest in Costa Rica.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hosts can expect a friendly smile and a great conversation. I can engage in meaningful cultural discussions and take a genuine interest in learning and sharing. I also love to learn in the kitchen and would be more than happy to help cook whenever
