ABOUT ME

Not a lot of space to describe myself but here goes nothing. My name is Mikey Sanchez and I am fascinated with traveling to new places and meeting new people. This summer I plan on traveling around the world to draw inspiration for my book which is focused on promoting global awareness and personal development through travel. Hobbies include hiking, swimming, lifting weights, reading, experiencing new cultures, drinking coffee and most importantly taking new experiences. I am a fun-loving and hard working Californian looking to find his purpose through travel!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to help others. Growing up without a father I always felt the need to mentor others and live as an example to my younger siblings to follow. I believe that anyone can create their destiny but many of us don't allow ourselves to do so. Finally, I believe that travel and experiences teach one much more than a classroom. Life is a book and those who don't travel only live one page.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am eagerly awaiting my first couch surfing experience through this account but I have traveled to various places in California. I am a member of PIKE and spent several nights in Berkeley and Los Angeles by sleeping on couches, floors and even atop a pool table! Although at times chilly it was a memorable experience and I always leave the house tidy and neat afterwords.

Intereses

I am interested in experiencing a country with a local in order to get a more authentic experience of the culture.

In terms of hobbies I am interested in learning new religions, any and all sports, outdoor activities, etc.

I can contribute by sharing personal experiences and travel tips to those who wish to travel to California as I have lived in and traveled to many areas in my beautiful state. In addition I can cook, clean and perform any chores or yard work. I am bilingual so can teach English and Spanish to those willing to learn.
