ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back dude looking for new experiences and new points of view. I like to see the world from other people's eyes and I love to experience other cultures. I get to travel for work and try to squeeze in as much extra time to take advantage of the flights. I'm into the outdoors and I love being in nature, but I can really appreciate living in a large city as well. I tend to like to pay my respects to the large tourist attractions when traveling, but I try to spend most of my time off the beaten path. I'm really into music of all kinds and would love to see live music anywhere.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm currently working on becoming a practicing stoic. I'm a very open minded person and I love to hear about other peoples life philosophies as well as share my own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I own a house in Grand Rapids, so I'm thinking about listing that but I'm looking to find hosts when I'm out and about.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few guests at my home, other than that I've been talking with a friend who did a lot of hosting and surfing in Russia, Kazakhstan and some of the Baltics

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Katahdin in Maine with a friend who hiked the entire Appalachian Trail, all 2,200 miles of it in one summer.
