ABOUT ME

Hello all! I am a fun loving guy who loves meeting new people and traveling. I love doing exciting activities like SCUBA diving and rock climbing, and am always looking for new people to share my experiences with. Im pretty happy-go-lucky, and usually down for just about anything. I dont think I have ever done anything I hated, and am willing to try anything 3 times before deciding I dont like it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I am busy as a full time teacher and part time grad student and live in a small apartment, I am more than willing to show people around my city (or neighboring cities on weekends), grab a cup of coffee, and be a friendly face. I also DO have a couch available on weekends if people needs a place to crash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still new to this CouchSurfing website, but I have spent plenty a night on various couches throughout colleges all over the east coast (USA). I always enjoy the excitement of meeting new people and making friends.

Interests

I am interested in traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new things. That being said, I always like eating new exotic foods, and trying new exciting things. Some of my hobbies I particularly enjoy are boating, SCUBA diving, swimming, rock climbing, going to movies, hiking, hanging out with friends, and of course, the good old fashioned road trip when I have time!

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as music goes, I like just about everything but country, but some of my favorite bands (of the minute) are: Dropkick Murphys, The Clash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, Angels & Airwaves, Matisyahu, Rush, Sublime, Bishop Allen, MIA, Catch 22, Dispatch, Weezer, Tragedy.

I like many, many movies, and cant really choose any to put at the moment.

I like to read when I get the chance, and some recent books I have read that I enjoy are Party Monster, the Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, Alice in Wonderland, The Greatest Show on Earth, and a recent very...interesting...book: the naked lunch. I know most of these have ridiculous concepts, but thats what I like when Im not reading textbooks for class.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I have done was when I built myself a boat in my spare time out of aluminum, fiberglass, wood, and kevlar, and then took it out down to VA.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am proficient in rock climbing, and would be more than happy to teach someone the essential skills. I am also an avid boater and can teach both boating skills, and aid in anyone trying to build their own boat (since I have done this as well). I also worked as a private contractor for a period of time, and can teach anyone who wants to learn home improvement techniques, and easy fix-it steps.

I have always wanted to learn to skydive, and am trying to learn to speak other languages.
