Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet interesting and diverse people from all walks of life, and to explore hidden paths in Southeast Asia that ony locals know.
ABOUT ME
Jo: I'm female, 26, and pescetarian. I was born in the Philippines, and was raised (and grew up) in Canada. I majored in Psychology at York University in Toronto. After a year from graduating, I had an urgent inkling to travel the world. I heard that teaching English provided a wonderful opportunity to see many countries, indulge in different cultures, and to meet new people. And so, I decided to teach English in Korea. There, I was fortunate to meet Mike & I spent 3 great years getting to know Koreans and their fascinating lifestyles, while also traveling to Philippines and Thailand on my summer and winter breaks. After saving up funds, Mike & I decided to do a big trip around Southeast Asia, which is where I currently am in my life. Also, I love painting and eating.
Mike: I was raised in England, Liverpool then left to live in London and trained in classical acting. I performed in mostly theatre, radio, and short films. Though I haven't exactly made it 'big time' I worked as a versatile actor in many different counties. I'm not the stereotypical English hooligan. I do have a sense of humour, although I'm usually the one laughing at myself. I like football and support Everton Fc. I like people and traveling. I hate mosquitoes.
PHILOSOPHY
Jo: "To live would be an awfully big adventure." - J.M. Barrie
Mike: "it's a marathon, not a sprint." - A. Jarvis
