About Me

CURRENT MISSION

TO SURF ALL THE COUCHES!

ABOUT ME

I have lived in the Seatle area my whole life. I went to Seattle Pacific University and got my BA in economics. I'm married to the love of my life and am completely happy. I used to run operations at a mortgage company in Washington state but quit so my wife and I could pursue our dream of traveling the world and volunteering along the way at various places. I currently reside in Athens but hope to take up a temporary residency on your couch or floor (not picky). We love seeing new places and enjoy simply being in wonderment of our surroundings.

PHILOSOPHY

Like I said I enjoy learning what it is like to live someplace - not that I don't enjoy seeing the sites as well but it really interests me to learn about the unique culture economy etc. my wife and I like to travel light , simply, and cheap. We are not picky or seeking luxury, I can have a good time in almost any arrangement and can usually find the brightside of any situation. I realize I am a guest in your house and as such I always seek to be flexible and help out if I can. I will always do my best to make your stay comfy and enjoyable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My wife and I love having people over and demonstrating what hospitality means. We love to use couch surfing to stay in each city we visit. I enjoying visiting new places and hearing about the best places to go and see. If you come to Seattle I'd give you my top lists and hopefully give you a tour if I'm free. In your city I'd hope to hear about your favorite spots and go experience them. If you don't have strong opinions, that is fine too(but I will be sad).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My wife introduced me to couch surfing this year when we traveled to Madrid and Barcelona - our hosts were incredible. I don't know what I would have done otherwise. I got to learn so much about the cities, culture, food, and lifestyle. I want to learn more about what it is like to live somewhere than simply show up take a picture of something famous and leave. Hosting has been great as well. I enjoy having people over and learning about their lives and adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been hiking in the Himalaya, swam in hot springs, jumped off waterfalls, drank amazing coffee, got married, walked the Great Wall of china, drove a combine and harvested corn, gone on long walks, met incredible people and kept close friends.
