I am originally from Czechia but for the past six years Africa has been my second home. Currently, a big part of the year I spend in eastern Uganda, in the mountains of Mt. Elgon, where I work for an organization that processes coffee. Besides that I also have been guiding, conducting research and volunteering in different parts of this always surprising continent.

In my free time, you'll most probably find me scrambling or climbing some rocks, running in the forest with a map or swing dancing.

I´ve been using Couchsurfing since I was eighteen and to be honest, it has improved my English speaking skills much more than any education. Beside apparent intercultural learning, I appreciate that Couchsurfing is building trust, understanding, and hospitality among people.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Most of the unforgettable experiences I have are connected with orienteering. Every competition is in new terrain, in wild nature. (Norwegian fjords, Danish sand dunes, French hills, Slovak hollows, Swiss glacier plain ..).

Also, I´ve got deeply connected to the landscape of every country I´ve lived in so far - to Czech deep pine forests, to sacred humid Taiwanese mountains with steep and bushy trails, to swampy Sweden and sunsets sparkling on the wide water surfaces, to Danish playful urban landscape full of bridges and bicycle lines and to the pastel colours of South African mountains and deserts, huge Moon, sea cliffs and dark water in the rivers.
