To ride our bicycles from Finland through Eastern Europe to the Meditteranean and beyond. We want to see and experience the people and nature of this part of the world

ABOUT ME

We met at an open mic in Chinatown Honolulu and have been traveling ever since. Our first big adventure was a motorcycle trip across the united states, over 3000 miles.. We since have built a cabin in Colorado, watched a baby grow from four days old to six months in Oakland, California, harvested blueberries for three seasons together in Maine and flown to Helsinki to start our most anticipated trip, on bicycle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We first heard of this project from a couple who stayed with us in California on their bicycle trip from Alaska to Argentina. We had invited them to our home after reading their blog. For a long time we did not join because of our constant moving. Here we are now, in Helsinki, surrounded by the travel culture and finally realizing that such a program is a vital asset to understanding a new culture and meeting people who dream as big as us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, we learned of it by inviting travelers to use our couch, so I suppose we have gotten our first experience. You could say we are "green/newbies" when it comes to official Couch Surfing but experienced at doing it on our own. We hope to show new friends our kindness and appreciation.

Good work and play, biking (of course), swimming, drum circles, fresh food, music, literature, dancing, getting high and a buzz, laughing, birds in the morning, stretching when we wake up, massage, conversation, hiking, dreaming, and on and on and on...

Music, Movies, and Books

Between the two of us such a list would feel too chaotic and symbolic. We prefer movies with a moral, or that are reality-based. We prefer music with a beat. Michelangelo loves non-fiction books while I have a tendency towards second-hand suggestions.
