ABOUT ME

I'm a curious wanderer at heart. Was born in DC and have lived in several states(MD, LA, FL, NY, VA, SC, AL), and several countries (FR, AT, AU, PE, PL). Spent my professional life on the road; mostly in Europe and North & South America. I love discovering new places, people, and cultures. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of strangers that I met the first time I was abroad. They treated me like family... feeding me, showing me around, and lodging me. I felt like I got to know real local people and culture. Since then, I've always tried to do the same for visitors to my home country (i.e. French people visiting the US or US people visiting France). I think CS is a great way to continue meeting open-minded people with wanderers' spirits ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

Treat everyone and everything as you would like to be treated. Smile and laugh as much as possible. Accept fear as a guide to help me find the opposite of it's path. To add value where ever possible. To give more than I take.

Right now, I am traveling. I will only be C-Surfing. When I am home again, I look forward to receiving C-Surfers!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a student at heart. I think the reflection of learning is teaching. So, I love sharing things I've learned. Mostly practical and productivity things (engineering side of the brain) ;-) One thing that I have shared with others who seem to find it very useful. If you should have the misfortune of writing on a white board with a permanent marker. Don't worry! As soon as possible, take a white board marker and trace the lines of the permanent marker ink. Immediately, erase the lines... permanent ink gone! I've seen many relieved smiles from sharing this little nugget.
