I'm a freelance photographer/writer, who also works at a non-profit. I'm pretty laid back and enjoy having a beer or two usually during the weekday. I really, really enjoy listening to music, so I frequent live shows about once week, even if it's just local music. I'm also a music blogger so I spend a lot of time writing about music. I'm new to Couchsurfing, but what I think I'll like about it is the community aspect of meeting new people with similar interests in different cities.

I'm currently relocating to New Orleans. Typically I've used AirBnB more in the past, but I thought this could be a cool way to meet new people with similar interests while traveling on a tight budget.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmm...favorite books would probably have to be Bill Graham Presents: My Life Inside & Out Rock & Roll, A Hope In The Unseen and probably Malcolm Gladwell's Outsiders. I'm not a huge movie buff, but some of my favorite tv shows are Suits and Power. I mostly listen to hip hop, r&b and neo soul music, but I'm pretty much open to all kinds, just not a big fan of country.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm really good at social media, blogging and photography. Kind of a very specific skill, but it's something that I don't mind sharing info about.
Learn: I'm always open to learning new things, ideally something interesting about the new city.
Share: Hmm...maybe cooking?
