ABOUT ME

Well, these things are hard to write. I can tell you that I like to be silly. I try to find laughter in my life. I enjoy learning most of all. Discovery of any sort. I grew up on a farm in California where my family grows organic vegetables. I consider work to be love made visible. I studied acting in college but I love all expressions of the soul. Art is a strong force in my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would participate in Couchsurfing by any means available to me. In the past, I have been graciously accepted into peoples homes throughout SE Asia and once in Australia. Since moving into a really big home after my travels, Id love to pass on the acts of kindness I received by hosting anyone in need.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have certainly slept on many couches in my life. As far as CouchSurfing goes, Ive mainly done so throughout parts of SE Asia. I found it to be the best way to travel really and to get to know folks that are unique and capable of introducing super legit experiences and interesting conversation.

Interests

Im interested in human relationships; artistic expression; feminist consciousness in its variety of forms; writing and reading; surprising myself and others; contentment; being unusual; education; serenity of nature; pushing personal limits; cultivation, cooking, and consumption of food.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love jazz, I listen to much of electronic, indie, folk, funk, and classical. Music is good for the soul.
Books: I read novels and plays. I also enjoy essays. Ive read a bit of feminist philosophy. Contemporary female playwrights is where it's at. Novels are boundless...
Movies: I love films from everywhere. I was in one once, it was terrible. I particularly enjoy going to see theatre though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw Helen Hunt on stage in Our Town. I hiked Half Dome in Yosemite California. I wrote and directed a play about zoo animals. I camped in West Texas desert for one month. One time bell hooks made fun of me at a lecture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught acting improv games many times. I know how to garden. I could probably teach someone to swim. And I can teach you to support your voice and make it stronger.
I would like to learn how to be more flexible. I love to hear stories. Slang words are my favorite. I would take any book, movie, or art suggestions. I love to learn anything.
