About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have at least one astounding conversation once a month.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old male Filipino and I like talking to people. I wish I could claim, without falsification and a tinge of delusion, that I'm a great listener. In reality, I TRY to be a great listener.

I'm a big fan of music because of its capacity to bring people together. And when people come together, that's when the good things happen. Hence, I'm lucky to have landed a job as a DJ at a rock station. It's just really interesting to be in a position where the only real basis for people's relations with you is your voice and the stuff you say.

PHILOSOPHY

There isn't a lot we can control so we might as well go ahead and act on the things we can actually do something about. If we spend too much time thinking about why we live our lives, we might just end up bungling up how.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Honestly, this is the first time I'm filling this form up, so I haven't really participated in anything just yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've bunked with a friend who lived in Singapore, and realized good food will always be a big factor for me to say whether I liked a city or not.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Don Caballero, Air, Battles, Of Montreal, Meshuggah, Mastodon, Fugazi, The Buzzcocks, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Miles Davis, Charlie Mingus, Mandrill, The Cinematic Orchestra, The Juan Dela Cruz Band, Maria Cafra, Up Dharma Down, The Lowtechs... and a bunch of other bands.

Books - I like reading oral histories. They seem to make more sense.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in the crowd when people banded together and called for one of our Presidents to step down. Though in hindsight that act didn't result in much good for my country, just the sheer sight of people crowding together under a shared goal always inspires me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm, I can teach you how to play a bass guitar (I've been playing for almost 10 years now).

I'd want to learn how to build a chair, a really nice chair. And maybe from there move up to building a table to go with the chair.
