ABOUT ME

Hiya,
we're Mike & Julia a mid 20s couple from the UK on a travelling path to meet cool people, keep an open mind, let inspiration in, hula hoop and make music :)

The best way to find out if you can trust someone or not is to trust them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As we're on the road we're not able to offer a couch at the moment, so we give back to the karma bank in any way we can.

We love to exchange stories more than anything, although we do like to pay back with more than just words. In return for hospitality and generosity we offer great cooking skills and can also teach you guitar, piano, bass or drums and hula hoop if you like! Also, if you'd like to feature on the album with your voice or an instrument, we'd be delighted!!

We plan to create a sustainable community / ecovillage in the future which in return you'd be more than welcome to come stay at.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During our travels we've stayed at a few couches and beds along the way, thanks to very generous beings! More importantly we've made some lovely friends who have coloured our journey beautifully and given us many a tale to look back on.

Interests

Making music, going for long walks with the finale of an amazing view at the end, travelling, swimming, a good movie, reading, writing, cooking, hula hooping, joy! hehe :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm about to play my music at Burning Man festival, so I think THAT will be the highlight for me :) Mike

Julia: I guess the realisation that you paint your own world in the colours of your mind. I remember sitting next to a lava flow on the top of a volcano in Guatemala, watching the sun set over the cloud layer below, wondering what on earth I had done to deserve such a mind-blowingly beautiful display. The truth is: I created it! And am doing so every day. Incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are spiritual beings, following the wind, so we understand that everywhere we land involves a message exchange of some sort, often on a deeper level than expected and sometimes not even realised until later.

On a practical level, Mike is more than happy to give guitar, piano, drum or bass lessons and help on music-making software such as Acid or Ableton. Julia can teach hula hooping and staff and is a studying massage therapist/healer. We love to eat so we will cook lovely meals, and make a nice cup of English tea!
