About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Walking across America -- from California to Philadelphia and beyond -- to raise money for the Onny and Oboe Scholarship, helping heart transplant patients and their families pursue their dreams.
ABOUT ME
Life is too short to be wasted on speed. This summer (and fall … Hello, winter?), I’m walking 3,000 miles across America to raise money for the Onny and Oboe Scholarship Fund, which I started to keep dreams alive for some deserving warriors. Why walk? It's simple. It's human. I walk because I can.
Was living well in Santa Monica, CA and just got lost in the complacency of it all. I'm not retired and ready to be put out to pasture. I needed to feel again. Just know this walk is a true grass-roots effort -- without your couch I'll be sleeping on grass and roots.
I'm super easygoing and love to try new things, meet good peeps and laugh at the rigors of traveling. Don't have any special needs or diets. Cats on my pillow might get me sneezing, but I can deal. Would love to return the favor to other surfers when I get back to Cali, wherever I land, whenever I land.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being new to the CS community, I'm just looking to surf my way across the country as I walk to raise cash for the scholarship fund I founded. But when I get back to the Golden State, I'll gladly return the favor and welcome fellow travelers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I fell out of a moving car when I was 7, went down on my motorcycle just the other week -- Walked away from both and laugh about it.
