I'm a student in Japan right now, but was living in Southern China before high school.
I study intercultural communicaiton at uni. It's a subject about linguistics, culture, anthropology etc but I can explain more in details when I see you:)
I have studied in Washington D.C. for a semester, and volunteered in Mozambique for a semester as well.
These two experiences changed my life.
Anyone looking for a couch in Japan is welcomed but I don't accept that often since I live with my family.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Simply, this is a nice place to look for free accommodation, especially to people like me who is a student with limited budget when traveling.
But I also enjoy very much how it connects foreigners and locals, and explore the country together.
I hope I can have unique experiences through seeing the locals' living and hanging out with them.
Music, Movies, and Books
I study documentary film at uni, and am a big fan of Planet Earth!
I have all of their DVDs at home so you can watch it if you're interested.
Also like: the Budapest hotel, the best offer, Sherlock homes series( BBC), sleepless in Seattle
Now I'm reading Hemingway's books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing but also challenging things was living in Mozambique without knowing how to speak Portuguese!
I still remember the struggle in cellphone store, trying to understand how to buy a sim and how to deposit credits in it. I even couldn't say 200...
But I also enjoyed the language barrier as a person who studies communication. Language is amazing...
