I'm envirnmental engineer in Kagoshima Japan. I'm 67 years old.Workplace at Kagoshima city.
I am going to Kagoshima on business weekdays from 7am to 7pm.
Therefore, we can not accept guests at my house on weekdays from 7 am to 7 pm.
But I can accept on Saturdays and Sundays from after 4 pm and check out by 10 am.
However, since the time that can be accepted may change on Saturday and Sunday, please ask me in advance.

There is no preparation for breakfast and dinner, so prepare yourself.

There is a convenience store 13 minutes on foot from my house. You can get food there.

Mobile phone
If you traveling in Japan, recommend preparing Japanese prepaid SIM(you can get at entering air port)or mobile WIFI in advance.
So that you can easily find my house while watching Google map.

By Train
Now I lives in Aira city Aira new town and near station is Aira of Nippou line,from Aira station to my house takes 30minutes by foot,but you can walk very bautiful river side OMOIGAWA.
Other JR Nippou line station Shigetomi, from near bus stop Shigetomi station go for Aira Newtown available at hourly intervals.
Get off at Aira Newtown iriguchi bus stop. (13min 240yen)
Our house will arrive in 3 minutes on foot.

By plane
When you arrive at Kagoshima Airport, take a bus to Kagoshima city departing at 10 minute intervals and get off at the Tenmonkan at the center of Kagoshima city.(45min 1250yen )
From there, switch to Aira Newtown departing at interval about one hour and get off at the Aira Newtown Iriguchi(45min 580yen ). From there you can reach my house in 3 minutes on foot.

By hitchhike
My house is 1.5 km from the Sakurajima service area of ​​the Kyushu Expressway, so it is convenient when you hitchhiked from Kumamoto, Fukuoka, Miyazaki.
It will take aproximately 17 minutes to walk from there to my house.

Free bikes
We have two bicycles. It saves time to and from the Shigetomi train station.
You can leave them at the station and ride back at the end of the day.
Please note that we are not responsible for accidents so please use at your own risk.

HOTSPRING
There is a hot spring Spa at 3 minutes on foot from my house. Isshin Sakura Aira Onsen. I will recommend you.
It is reasonable at 390 yen per person.
They have a restaurant, you will be able to eat cheap Japanese food there.
