CURRENT MISSION

I have recently moved back to my home town to seek a career as an electrician. My current goals are to reestablish my financial footing and save up to build myself a tiny house on wheels while settling for more local adventures for now.

ABOUT ME

I'd like to think I'm pretty down to earth. I work with individuals who experience various disabilities. I am very avid about being outdoors and living in a place where untouched wilderness is easily accessible(Juneau, where I live, is one of those places! come visit!). I am very much in love with Juneau. I was raised here and get very excited about showing people the wonders of this area!

PHILOSOPHY

Have common sense; have common courtesy; have humility; be gracious; be curious; be accepting; be adventurous; you have a two way door to/from yourself. Leave it open sometimes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For a year or so, a while ago, I hosted a handful of CSing travelers and it was a great experience. I love hosting and can't wait to be hosted!

I hike, camp, kayak, kayak-camp, rock climb, ice climb, explore glaciers, explore mountains, explore everything, ski, snowboard, ride sleds, run my dog, get pulled on skis by my dog, play adult league basketball, volleyball, softball, hopefully hockey soon. Love, music, food, exercise, challenges, independence, community and play are all I need! And a little help with all that from my friends!

I'm very easy to please when it comes to movies. Same with music. Endurance is my current book project. Favorites include The Hobbit, Shogun, The Ronin, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Tuesdays with Morrie, The Four Agreements, and the childrens' books, Where the Wild Things Are and Dear Mili.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the most amazing experiences I have ever had was a close encounter with a humpback whale in the waters of Juneau, Alaska. Ask me about it! I have done a Tough Mudder in Colorado and plan to do more in the future. Spent 52 days in the wilderness around Moab, Utah. Took a 15 day kayak trip through the waters of Southeast Alaska, from Angoon to Pelican.
