About Me

CURRENT MISSION

be myself

ABOUT ME

I love seeing new faces and trying new things. Usually I'm very easy-going and love the contact with others. I kind of have a problem with being on time though, so if I'm 15 minutes late, please excuse me in advance, I'm working on it :-) Other than that, I like it especially when people really speak when they talk and really hear when they listen.

Oh, and I do tend to break my ankles often but it happens only when I'm on familiar grounds :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've mostly hosted and it's been a great experience every time!

Interests

My latest hobby is creating postcards - it's quite popular these days, and I love it - brings me back to childhood :-) more generally: music; yoga; cinema; theatre; languages, especially how language as a system reflects human thinking, behaviour, culturally-specific codes of communication; Antiquity (particularly Ancient Egypt), south-east Asia, dancing (especially traditional dances)

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up with jazz but I'm a 90s child so my taste is much influenced by musical waves like britpop, grunge, the Seattle bands etc. i quite enjoy listening to traditional and ethnic music from different parts of the world as well. also, some newer trends make it to my playlist like trip hop, acid jazz, fusion...

books, depending on state of mind, but favourite authors are Oscar Wilde, Virginia Woolf, Kafka, Joyce, Dimitar Dimov, Conrad, Kundera, Maupassant, Baudelaire... I never get tired of reading children's books (Astrid Lindgren!!), fairy tales, Arabian nights...

movies like The Piano, Hable con ella, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, Източни пиеси/Eastern plays, Elegy, Wings of Desire, Control, Crossing the bridge: the sound of Istanbul, Camera Kids/Born into Brothels, Girl Interrupted, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share a few curious things about Bulgaria, some music and dances, some recipes.I'd like to learn a few words in your language and anything beyond stereotypes
