About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To stand barefoot in the grass of everywhere at least once.
PHILOSOPHY
Gotta let it slide off my back like a peacock, whatever that means. I guess what I'm trying to say is, many things in life are there as distractions and you can't struggle with them or you exhaust yourself before encountering the real trials and moments you are here to experience. Coffee cold? Shut up and fix it, it's not the end of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well... in a time where the internet pulls us away from those in our own cities, at least there is something that can bring all of us together from around the world. I hope it proves to the disbelievers that having faith in one another isn't a lost cause, after all.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've slept on couches around the States, mainly at houses or apartments of friends or friends of friends. There have even been times I've slept on couches of houses I didn't even know I was in and don't particularly remember except for vague moments of recollection that I immediately file away in my mind. Sometimes I even sleep on my own couch and tell my bed to mind its own business.
Interests
electronic music, art, life, Douglas Adams, general disdain and amusement at humanity
Music, Movies, and Books
Anything by Douglas Adams, though I do love many other authors, he is still my favorite. A close second is Ray Bradbury and his amazing way of making me cry for anything but sadness. Harry Potter, the books and the movies both. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. Electronic music and Roisin Murphy are maybe the best things to ever happen to me aurally. I can recite most of Human Traffic with the movie. Sci-fi and fantasy and comedy are the best, romances are boring.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I see amazing things all the time. I think it's realizing that so much of what is around us is amazing that is the trick.
Teach, Learn, Share
Religious and spiritual philosophizing; basic theatre and music knowledge; American graphic design and current trends in the arts; cynical opinions on American govt. that include an extremely radical view on what is really going on here; minor Spanish skills; an uncanny ability to out-drink most women and my fare share of men... I wouldn't mind learning more about what's outside this country, since there seems to be a lot of pretending there isn't much.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Spain, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
