Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The Idea of meeting people from all around the world is pretty cool. Discovering diferent cultures, coutries and nature seems to me as the next strong reason.

I realized that I want to progress in english, so I sent an application for Erasmus and passed exams. Several months later it`s clear that I`m going abroad. Coachsurfing gives me an opportunity to survive first two weeks in Helsinky, because the dormitory is for first two weeks under reconstruction.

Interests

Trying new sports. Nowadays it`s mainly golf, beach volleyball, than skiing and ice hockey in winter. Definitely travelling.
From time to time I like silence and time for myself. I`m learning how to make creative videos, improve soft skills and how to be a great civil engineer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I`m really not a regular reader, but I like it. When I start reading some book I rarely finish it and usually put it away before I get over the mid. Newertheless there are some books I`ve finished and which I liked, for an example a put here two I remember the most: The Little Prince; Sport, Performance and Metaphysics by Marián Jelínek ( hockey coach and Jaromír Jágrs` personal trainer during his best period in NHL, his major is a sport psychology ).

My attitude to movies is in a principle similar with books.

It doesn`t matter which genre is a music. I can hear almost all sphere of genres, when I find that I like it. Electronical music like a D`n`B, house, techno through instrumental music like metal and rock and of course the classical music especially Strauss and Vivaldi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As an ordinary conqueror I`ve built a fortress on the beach in Sri Lanka when I was 22, using just my hands and a lot of sand.

Seriously, as the biggest succes I consider the winning of the national championship in discus throw. And being in the top 10 best throwers in given category for 5 years, until the unlucky injury, which ended my track and field chapter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am sports based man, so we can talk hours about this topic. We can speak about civil engineering thanks to my technical thinking as well. Occasionaly I try to make videos and to understand the stuff around making proper shots and postproduction.

In general I`m opened to anythink.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wherever I travel I take a pack of czech beer to share the most typical example of the czech culture. Czech Republic is a homeland of a golden luqiud treasure, obviusly I say it, bacause I`m Czech and we are right the greatest brewers and we are proud of it.
