Make tomorrow different from today!
I have made it back to Boston and will stick around for the next year or so. I will be fairly busy managing uni and my three jobs, but in case I end up with some free time, I could host. Of course, this means I'd do my best to show you around, take you out, or at least give you some advice about what to do.
I come from a town (Sveti Nikole) in Macedonia. I lived the boring town life until moving to Skopje to go to a Turkish school for a couple years, and then to the middle of nowhere in Wales to attend a wicked school (UWC Atlantic College) with peeps from all over the world. Took a gap year, did as many Erasmus+ projects as I could, and then settled down in Boston to study environmental engineering. Then I decided it was time to be on the move again, so I went to London for a year. I also spent a summer in Norway learning Norwegian. Now I have returned across the pond to Boston (the most European city in 'Murica as I call it). My favourite thing is having a good coffee, good beer, or a good cocktail, and a person to talk to about how to change the world. I'll add picking up new languages on the way to the list.
Life's a beach and I'm just tannin'.
In translation, I try not to stress about things and try to think that I can learn something out of every situation. I also try to refer to travelling and hanging out with people as 'unconventional productivity' so I never feel bad when doing that instead of (conventional) work!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to meet interesting people at interesting places and have interesting experiences!
This can go on forever, especially cos it probably changes from day to day. But here are a few:
Learning foreign languages
Being part of the UWC movement (United World Colleges)
- music festivals
- study abroad
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: EDM (always), deep house, indie, alternative rock (and pretty much anything depending on mood, except gospel I guess)
Books: The Magic Skin, Things Fall Apart, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Small is Beautiful by Schumacher to list a few... Also historical, political, philosophical literature.
Movies (my amazement by movies depends on my mood and the person I'm discussing it with so wait till we discuss favourite movies together) ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Studied and lived for 2 years in a 12th-century castle in Wales (just like Hogwarts) with students from more than 90 different countries.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you languages. You can also teach me languages. I can talk to you about the Balkans and its shit politics. (Despite that, I will still convince to come visit me.) You can also tell me about the good and bad shit going on where you come from. And last but not least, I can (show you how to) cook some delicious Balkan food.
Most importantly, I can talk a lot about current events, politics, ideology, and such deep philosophy over a drink. Viva la revolución!
What I Can Share with Hosts
