I'm a recent graduate from Iowa State University with a degree in Linguistics. I've spent most of my life in Iowa, but a change in scenery is always nice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to find the time to travel before I'm forced to settle down. I've been out of the US a bit, but I'm excited to visit different parts of our big country to appreciate the beauty at home.

When the time comes, I hope to offer my home to all types. Until then, I'm hoping to meet some awesome people in my travels.

Interests

I love language (all), culture (all), music, and technology. I used to study electrical engineering and programming, and I still use those skills every day, but linguistics is my passion. Language and culture influence the ways in which we perceive the world, and I'm always down for a little color. I'm a "millennial", so I obviously love wine, but I also appreciate brews and spirits. Always drink responsibly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm good at phonetics and phonology, so I can help you learn an accent or teach you to pronounce your Vietnamese friend's name.

I am pretty skilled with cars, so if you need an oil change or a transmission flush, I'm your guy. Same goes with computers: I'll tune up your Windows or replace your wireless card in no time.

I like to cook, so maybe I can make you a dinner or teach you some of my recipes!
